There is a so called dirty dozen foods that are more susceptible to bugs and other harmful diseases and are therefore prone for being treated with high levels of pesticides. You should take care when buying items like cherries, strawberries and pears that are all to be found in the dirty dozen and spending a little more money on organic equivalents is well worth the extravagance.

At the end of the day the bottom line is that organic produce simply tastes a whole lot better than conventional food. For those of us who want a strawberry to actually taste of strawberry, or a tomato that does not look like an orange then organic food is a no brainer.
